Don and Janice Forester have been married 49 years. They have two children, Scott and Sharon, and five grandchildren. They have been a vital part of San Marcos for many years. Don played football and basketball for SWT from 1955-1959. He was brought on by SWT in 1961 as a head coach and was there 17 years until he retired. In 1971, Don and Janice were part of one of the Bible studies in San Marcos that later joined together with other believers to become Hill Country Faith Ministries. Don was one of the first elders and continues to serve in that position. After retiring from SWT, he began teaching at Hill Country Christian School where he now works in the high school. They believe in the ministry at Hill Country Church and are committed to the work God is doing there.
